This week's My Scraps Got Talent challenge was to make a page with all papers, alphas, and embellishments from one manufacturer. I was struggling with this until I remembered the BoBunny Ad Lib collection that I purchased a few weeks ago, and also saw the 6/28 sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches - then everything came together!
These are my two cute nieces - growing up too fast @ ages 12 and 9!
It's all about scrapbooking! Posting some of my favorite layouts and projects here Hope you enjoy!

Practical Scrappers is red, white and blue today!
Today, Practical Scrappers is featuring red white and blue layouts. You might think that all layouts with this color scheme would be patriotic themed, but if you check out the postings, you'll see that this color scheme is used for a lot more than 4th of July pages!
I went way back to 1986 for the photos on my page. Even though it was a long time ago, I remember my son waiting for the Epcot parade to start, singing "Yankee Doodle Dandee" with that little American flag stuck in his Mickey Mouse ears, and then how excited he was to see the parade march by and wave the flag. (sigh!) Wish I could go back to that time when he (and me!) were 25 years younger!
The papers are from October Afternoon. I did some hand stitching for the border, with tiny little star brads added on each side.

a few recent pages
I've been on a roll with cards lately, but have also done a few pages recently, mostly for challenges over at Scrap-Friendzy and My Scraps and More. Here are a few:
Used my Sew Easy tool to do the hand stitching on this page. Even though she's only two, my DGD knows how to strike a pose when Grandma gets out her camera, LOL!
This photo of DH was taken on a recent motorcycle trip to the Outer Banks. Just takin' a little break while we were riding through Hatteras.
This is an old photo, but one of my favorites. It was taken in a photo booth at the mall on a Saturday outing with my kids many years ago.

iCopic challenge #35
This week's challenge @ iCopic was to use your Copic markers on anything except white cardstock/paper. I had some mottled green pp from Fancy Pants and some of the same style of paper in red from My Mind Eye, so I ended up using those. I stamped this flower on the green and colored in the stems and leaves, then I stamped it again on the red and colored the flower petals. I cut the flower out and adhered it with foam squares for some dimension, then added gold seed beads for the flower center. This was a fun challenge and makes me want to explore more way to use my Copics with my patterned paper!

Jingle Belles "bundle up" challenge
This week's challenge @ Jingle Belles was to "bundle up" by having at least three layers on your Christmas card. I picked up this snowman stamp from Outlines a couple of weeks ago, and used it on this card, along with some rock candy Stickles, Copic markers and Spica glitter pens.
I love the idea behind the Jingle Belles blogspot - one Christmas card per week so you're all ready to go by the time December comes around!

Here are a few of my recent stamped cards. Stamping is such fun; I encourage you to try it, if you haven't already!

Lily Pad cards presents Lucy's Lovely Lines
This week's challenge @ Lily Pad cards was a sketch challenge from Lucy Abrams. When I saw the sketch, I thought of fireworks and decided to make a 4th of July card. I used some Unity stamps and some hand stitching on this card.
CAS-ual Fridays - color block challenge
I've been a fan of CAS-ual Fridays ever since their challenge blog started a few months back, but this is the first time I've had a chance to join in one of their challenges. This week's challenge is to use color blocking on a project. Since the 4th of July is just a couple of week's away, I went with a red, white & blue color scheme and came up with this card:
I used my Cricut and the George cartridge for the squares and stars, and the MS Seasonal cake cartridge for the word "happy". Some Tim Holtz grungeboard and Blue Jean distress ink made up the number four, and then I added some rubon letters and some baker's twine to finish off the card.

iCopic challenge #34 - browns only
This week's challenge @ iCopic Lover was to create a card using only earthtones (E series) Copic markers. Luckily, our local Michael's just started carrying Copic markers AND they had a 50% off coupon this week, so I made a couple of trips to get two new browns for my collection of Copics, and was able to complete this card.
I used Copic E31, 33, 37, 42, 44, and 53 for the leaves & acorn image, then dabbed some Antique Linen Distress stain around the image, and frame it with a Cricut cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge (cut at 3.5").

Time for another Sassy lil Card Sketch!
Wow, it's already the 14th of June - hard to believe this month is almost half over!
Here's the card sketch for the 14th from Sassy Lil Card Sketches. This is such a versatile sketch; it could be used a lot of different ways.
Here's my card from the sketch. I used some older Crate Paper on this one. The solid blue was embossed with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder, and the oval image was cut from the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge.
This months' card sponsor is The Stamps of Life
Be sure to link up your card to the Sassy Lil Card Sketch blog for a chance to win some of Stephanie's adorable stamps!

It's Disney card day @ Practical Scrappers!
Practical Scrappers is featuring Disney-themed cards today! Check out this post for all the cute cards! (I especially like the Phineas & Ferb card!)
Here are a couple of cards I made, with my Cricut and the Pooh Font & Mickey & Friends cartridges. I love the images on these cartridges, but you need a little time & patience to put all the layers together. I try to cut the images at least 3.5" or larger, otherwise some of the layers are pretty.

Practical Scrappers "Challenge Me Tuesday" - Scallop Circle Projects
Today, Practical Scrappers is featuring projects using scalloped circles. This is such a popular shape in scrapbooking. You can buy paper and cardstock already cut, or you can use punches or diecut machines to make your own scalloped circles.
For my page, I used my Cricut and the Mini Monogram cartridge to cut scallop circles from pp and cardstock for my flowers.
Be sure to check out the other projects featured @ Practical Scrappers - and don't forget about the blog hop that's going on - you can enter to win some cool prizes!

iCopic challenge #32 - transulcent coloring
This week's challenge @ iCopic Lover is to color a translucent image. I used an older House Mouse stamp for this card. The ice cube was colored just around the edges with light gray and light blue, then I used Glossy Accents overtop. I also added a little fluffy quilt batting for the cotton stuffing coming out of the aspirin bottle.
